Vegas is an American drama-western television series that premiered on CBS on September 25, 2012 with the pilot episode. The series stars Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis and was created by Greg Walker and Nicholas Pileggi. Set in 1960s Las Vegas, the series centers on Sheriff Ralph Lamb (Quaid), and his dealings with Chicago mobster Vincent Savino (Chiklis), who moved west to set up his own operation. Lamb was a former rancher who served as Sheriff of Clark County from 1961 to 1979. An initial order for a thirteen episode first season has been placed.
